Russian state-owned satellite operator RSCC has selected Iskra to construct a terrestrial satellite station in the town of Dubna in the Moscow region, reports Comnews.ru. The contract is worth a total of RUB 290 million. The new hub will enable the operator to launch the Western segment of its satellite broadband network, which will provide services over the Ka-band. The Hughes Jupiter platform will be used on the hub. The initial size of the contract amounted RUB 293 million. Two companies participated in the tender.
