Telefonica has launched its new pay-TV offer following the takeover of Digital+ in Spain. The new offer Movistar+ integrates its existing TV services with the Canal Plus premium programming. It will launch first to existing Canal Plus customers and Movistar customers on the package 'Fusion TV para Todos', starting 08 July, and gradually be extended to all Movistar TV customers.

The basic package will offer over 80 TV channels, a library of 5,000 VoD titles and a slimmed-down version of the Canal Plus content, for EUR 20 per month. The basic plan includes the Yomvi service for access to content from any device and a cloud recorder.

Customers can add access to high-profile series from Canal Plus, such as Game of Thrones and Orange if the New Black, for another EUR 5 per month, access to new films on Canal Plus for another EUR 5 and top sports such as F1 and football for EUR 20 per month. Other Canal plus channels, such as those covering bullfighting, hunting and fishing, or classical music are also available on an 'a la carte' basis. In addition, Telefonica offers bundled packages of several of the above options under the names Premium, Extra Premium and Total Premium; the 'Premium' plans also come with a seven-day catch-up service.
