French pay TV operator Canal Plus removed five channels from its CanalSat line-up through an upgrade to its OTT platform on 16 June. The channels concerned at AB group's Trek, Sciences et Vie, Toute L'Histoire, Cine FX and Cine Polar. Canal Plus said it wanted to focus on the most popular channels, writes Tele Satellite Numerique. The first two channels have only been available for six months. Canal Plus indicates that the move affects CanalSat subscribers with a Le Cube DTT, Le Cube S, Miami Box, and users of MyCanal. The company is expected to announce on 1 July if Canal Plus ADSL and satellite customers will also lose the channels.
