Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset is set to launch of two new channels on its pay-TV service Mediaset Premium this month, reports website Sos Tariffe. Starting 23 June, subscribers will be able to access Premium Stories, targeted at a mostly female audience, as well as another movie channel, Premium Cinema 2. Mediaset Premium is aiming to increase its subscriber base from the current figure of 1.77 million to around 2 million by the end of the year and recently signed multi-year rights deals with Warner Bros and NBC Universal to broadcast the latest productions of the Hollywood studios on an exclusive basis in Italy.
