Italian satellite TV platform TivuSat has announced that it has reached the milestone of 2.4 million active smart cards, equivalent to around 8 percent of Italian families. At the end of last year, the figure stood at 2.3 million after TivuSat added around 275,000 subscriptions in 2014. The free satellite platform currently offers a total of 68 Italian and international TV channels, including all the Rai and Mediaset channels, as well as 32 national and international radio stations. The platform last week launched a new application called Tivulink designed to give subscribers easy access to the VoD services of Italian broadcasters, such as Rai Replay, Rai Tgr, Mediaset Rewind in HD, Infinity and La7 On Demand.
