Arianespace has postponed the launch of flight VA222, carrying the Thor 7 and Sicral 2 satellites, due to a problem at the launch pad in Korou, French Guiana. The satellites had been scheduled to launch on 15 April but an anomaly occurred on a fluid connector between the cryogenic upper stage and the launch table, said Arianespace. The launch vehicle and satellites have been placed in stand-by mode and the new launch date will be announced soon.

The Thor 7 satellite, built for Telenor Satellite Broadcasting (TSBc), will offer coverage over the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea, the Red Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean.
