Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) has published an announcement for the auction of up to four satellite exploration rights for 15 years, with the goal of strengthening the country's telecommunications infrastructure. The exploitation rights will be extendable once for another 15 years. The minimum asking price will be BRL 27 million. They will refer to orbital positions that are in the process of coordination or notification with the ITU on behalf of Brazil. The proposals and documentation will be accepted until 19 May and the auction will be held on 26 May.
