    Indonesian billionaire buying Telkomvision

Indonesian billionaire Chairul Tanjung has agreed to buy an 80 per cent stake in the country’s second-biggest pay-TV operator, Telkomvision, heating up competition in the emerging pay television market currently controlled by another tycoon, Harry Tanoesoedibjo.
Just 7 per cent of all Indonesia households have pay-TV, compared to India and China with 83 per cent and 54 per cent, respectively. The sector is expected to grow rapidly as Indonesia’s middle class expands.
CT Corp, an investment holding company controlled by Tanjung, is in talks with Indonesia’s biggest telecom firm, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), to buy the stake in PT Indonusa Telemedia or Telkomvision, Telkom said in a statement.
The deal is expected to be worth less than $100 million..

    June 10, 2013 10.16 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Horse & Country TV is launching into Sweden in June 2013 via the cloud-based TV delivery service, Magine.
The specialist equestrian sports and lifestyle network has chosen an OTT provider, Magine, to launch distribution in Sweden.
Magine will initially host Horse & Country TV’s UK-version channel, which will be replaced by the specially created Swedish version containing localised programming later in the summer.
“Magine represents an exciting opportunity for us to enter the Swedish market for the first time,” said Horse & Country TV director of international distribution, Wayne Dunsford.
“We are delighted that they have recognised that there is a large and passionate audience for equestrian sports and country lifestyle in Sweden and we very much look forward to working with Magine’s experienced and ambitious team in making the channel a success. We will be making further announcements about our Swedish channel in the near future.”
Magine’s Chairman, Michael Werner added: “Magine launched in Sweden this spring with other European territories to come this summer. Horse & Country TV is unique in Sweden and a great addition to the roster of national and international channels that have joined our cloud based delivery service. Samsung launches Evolution Kit worldwide
    June 10, 2013 08.29 Europe/London By Robert Briel

WATCH VIDEO. Samsung has now made its Evolution Kit 2013 available across all market after an early launch in Korea in April.
The marketing blitz was started with a video on YouTube that caused some controversy, but with over ten million views it can be labelled a viral success.
The device, which retails for EUR299, upgrades a number of Samsung 2012 smart TVs into 2013 models.
“You can enjoy the latest features of the Samsung Smart TV. Samsung Smart TV is an Evolutionary TV!” according to the manufacturer.
The kit, which clicks on the back of a TV set, will only upgrade th software functionality of the TV set, not any other improvements in the 2013 models such as picture quality. The upgraded features include a new Smart Hub user interface and usage of the S-recommendation navigation tool.
Originally, Samsung said the kit would sell for around EUR500, but critics claimed this price would be too high.
